Bio
Kenneth Brown has 28 years of experience in quantitative risk assessment, the last 20 as a self-employed consultant/contractor to government agencies and the private sector. His work has focused on methods and applications of hazard identification and dose-response analysis, culminating in a written report and often publication. He has conducted diverse projects, such as meta-analysis of the evidence from multiple studies of lung cancer risk from secondhand smoke for EPA, evaluation and comparison of respirator effectiveness from multiple studies for OSHA, preparation and presentation of two courses on quantitative methods for toxicologists including an EPA-sponsored one-day workshop on concentration-time response modeling and concentration-time relationships using its CatReg software (see www.catregworkshop.com ). Brown has published widely in refereed journals and conference proceedings, co-authored two EPA documents and one NRC report, made numerous presentations at professional meetings and conferences (several invited), and served on several committees and panels.
